Funding Information

Kijabe Hospital and its patients are indebted to the generosity of friends and supporters. Without these kind gifts, providing medical care to Africans in a poor, rural area would simply not be possible.

In the past four years, friends of Kijabe have assisted the HIV work in the following ways:
  1. Outpatient care, including medicines and laboratory tests
  2. Inpatient hospitalizations
  3. Surgeries
  4. Training programs for community members and staff
  5. Infrastructure improvements such as a new clinic and bore hole, a laboratory, a counseling center, and housing for professional staff and trainees
Thousands of patients have been helped by these projects, and we expect this number to grow.

A current focus is the completion of an additional clinic near Lake Naivasha, approximately 45 minutes from the hospital and home to a quarter of a million people with very little access to quality health care.

In order to continue to expand our ministry, we seek to partner with individuals of good will who, in turn, can expect efficiency and accountability.

Below is information on how you can assist health work at Kijabe Hospital. Donations may be sent to the Fielder Medical Assistance Foundation or Africa Inland Mission. If you have a preference regarding how your contribution is used, please communicate your interest by writing to me at fielderjon@hotmail.com. The board of Charities Support Foundation retains final authority regarding use of donated funds, as described below.

Kijabe Hospital is audited annually. The AIDSRelief program at our hospital has had every expense approved by the donor (Catholic Relief Services) and the US government.
